Learn About Kodo Apprentice Centre

Every performer on the Kodo stage reached that position after living and learning at the same place: Kodo Apprentice Centre. If a Kodo performance were likened to a flower, this Centre would form its roots. To become a Kodo member, hopefuls spend two years training and living communally to cultivate their bodies and minds.
At EC, Kodo Cultural Foundation arranges a special glimpse into life at the Apprentice Centre by giving the entire second-year class of Kodo apprentices the chance to share their stories with the public.

Come along to learn about their daily routine, curriculum, hopes and dreams. They’ll perform a number or two for you from their current training, too, so please cheer them on!
